Most Emec dosing pumps are supplied with foot valve with suction filter. This works well, but there are cases where a suction lance works better or safer. For example, when an agitator is present or with a jerry can.

A suction lance is a PVC or PVDF plastic lance fitted with a filter and a level switch. By selecting the right length, the suction lance reaches the bottom of the vessel or IBC.

The pump intake is then connected to the top. This also applies to the return in the case of automatic venting.
When the pump is compatible then the level switch can be connected. This switches off the pump when the vessel is empty.

Suction canister

We have a nice solution for a jerry can. A suction lance with cap that ensures the canister is properly closed at all times. This helps work safely because no chemicals sloshing out of the canister when moving it or if someone unexpectedly runs into it. You can find it here.
