Diaphragms

The diaphragm is the most stressed part of a dosing pump; it has to move thousands of times per hour and is in continuous contact with aggressive chemicals. Emec has reinvented this critical component by moving away from conventional manufacturing methods.

Unique Solid Construction Most membranes in the market are composed of layers (laminated), often a rubber core with a thin coating. Over time, these layers can loosen, leading to breaks and leaks. In contrast, the Emec membrane is made of one solid block of PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene). Through an advanced manufacturing process, this 'Solid Teflon' membrane retains its flexibility but is impervious to delamination and wear.

Ultimate Chemical Resistance With its entire contact surface made of PTFE, the membrane offers resistance to virtually all industrial chemicals, including strong acids, alkalis and solvents. This makes the membrane universally applicable, regardless of the liquid you need to dispense.
