The Emec PTFE Membrane forms the beating heart of your Emec dosing pump and is designed for maximum durability and chemical resistance. Unlike conventional laminated diaphragms, which often consist of a rubber core with a thin coating, the Emec diaphragm is manufactured from solid PTFE (Teflon).
This unique production process and the specific choice of materials ensure that the membrane is extremely wear-resistant. Because it consists of one solid piece of material, delamination (the loosening of layers) is impossible, which significantly extends its lifespan compared to standard membranes. Thanks to the superior properties of PTFE, this membrane is resistant to almost all aggressive chemicals, acids and alkalis, making it universally applicable in a variety of industrial applications.
The membrane is flexible enough to follow the rapid stroke movement of the electromagnet, but strong enough to ensure accurate and constant dosing for years without loss of capacity.
