A suction filter (foot valve) is the first step in the dosing system and is hung directly in the vessel containing liquid. The weighted suction filter remains at the bottom, ensuring that the vessel can actually be emptied. The float switches off the pump when the vessel is empty. This prevents the pipes from becoming full of air.
