A suction filter is the first step in the dosing system and is hung directly in the vessel containing liquid. The weighted intake filter remains at the bottom, ensuring that the vessel can actually be emptied.
It is of course important that you choose the intake filter in the material that is resistant to the liquid in question. We will be happy to help you make the right choice! We always have several types of intake filter in stock.
Apart from the standard intake filter, an intake filter is also available with a float switch. This sends a signal to the dosing pump when the vessel is empty. This is useful as no air is then sucked in. However, this function must be supported by the dosing pump.
A suction lance is often used for IBCs or tanks with agitators. We also have these available.
