Emec Prisma Calibrate

The Emec Prism is made to make dosing as easy as possible! This all-rounder is known as the most innovative Emec dosing pump until now! You achieve the highest precision by calibrating (also known as calibrating) the dosing pump the first time it is used within your applicable process conditions.

How do you calibrate the Emec Prisma?

A diaphragm metering pump gives a somewhat different flow outside the operating point. By calibrating the pump, you can achieve optimum precision. To calibrate the Emec Prisma, you need:

  • A foot filter
  • A liquid
  • A beaker
  • A pressure hose
  • A suction hose
  • An installed pump in a newly sealed pressurised system.

The steps for calibration are as follows:

  • Connect the discharge hose and suction hose to the pump head.
  • Place the foot filter in the beaker.
  • To start the calibration, select:
    • Settings
    • Advanced
    • More
    • Test
  • Set the seconds and select start to start the calibration.
  • To find out the exact flow rate of the pump, subtract the remaining liquid in the beaker from the total of the original liquid.

When the Prisma says calibration is complete, the pump is ready to operate again.
